IAITAM’s Terms and Conditions

Privacy & Data Use

  • You may browse the website anonymously. Basic domain data may be collected to improve user experience.
  • Personal information provided voluntarily may be used for identification, communication, or program delivery, and may be shared with business partners for relevant purposes.
  • Users may opt out of data collection uses or communications.
  • IAITAM implements safeguards (including encryption) to protect personal data but cannot guarantee external site privacy practices.
  • Information shared in public forums becomes public. 

Accessibility

IAITAM makes good-faith efforts to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). 

Training & Certification

Course Requirements

  • CSAM or CHAMP recommended before CITAM.

Course Scheduling

  • In-person courses typically start at 9:00 AM local time.
  • Online courses follow Eastern Time unless stated otherwise.
  • Self-Paced Certification Courses must be completed within 90 Calendar days after purchase.  

Certification Exams

  • Must be completed within 14 days after course completion.
  • Passing score: 85% within the 3-hour allotted exam time. 
  • One free retake allowed (24-hour wait). 
  • Paid 7-day extension available if purchased within original 14 days.
  • Exam may be repurchased if unsuccessful or expired at non-member price with one year.
  • After one year, the course and exam must be purchased and completed. 
  • Only individuals who pass may use certification acronyms. 
  • Screen capture, distribution, cheating will result in auto failure of certification.  

 

Recertification

  • Required annually by the recertification due date.
  • One exam renews all active certifications.
  • Recertification exam: 20 questions, 100% to pass, unlimited attempts.
  • Extensions and fees apply; expired certifications may require new exams or courses. 
  • If your recertification has expired, you have up to 6 months from the original due date to purchase a new exam package for each certification you want to renew (member pricing does not apply). After 6 months, you must repurchase and retake the course and exam to regain the certification, and member pricing still does not apply. 
  • When a purchased Recertification exam is not completed within the designated time frame the Certified Individual’s credentials will be considered expired

Conferences & Events

General

  • IAITAM may use event media (audio/video/photos) for promotion.
  • Attendance approval required; participants must be 21+.
  • All trademarks, trade names, service marks and logos referenced herein belong to their respective companies.

Attendee Lists

  • Shared only with sponsors and non-opt-out participants.
  • Provided as a confidential, one-time license for limited use.

Sponsors

  • Sponsor access to attendee lists is restricted, confidential, and non-transferable.

 

Payment Terms

  • Payment due upon registration and before event start.
  • Accepted methods: PO (Net 30), check, money order, or major credit cards.
  • Fees in USD; subject to change.
  • Discounts and prizes cannot be combined and must be used within specified periods.
  • No refunds for unused benefits. 
  • Membership pricing are available directly through IAITAM and IAITAM.org.
  • Giveaways and Prizes: A person may only take advantage of one winning item per year, any prize or giveaway must be used within six (6) months of receipt.

Cancellation & Rescheduling

  • Written request required at least 91 days before event.
  • ≥  91 days: 50% refund.
  • <  90 days: No refund.
  • IAITAM may cancel or reschedule events and will refund or credit payments at IAITAMs discretion.
  • No-shows do not qualify for alternative dates/rescheduling courses must be done 72 hours prior to start of course.
  • Force majeure events are not IAITAM’s liability.

On-Site Courses

  • Must be scheduled in advance (60 days U.S., 90 days international).
  • 50% deposit required; balance due 30 days before course.
  • Travel expenses billed separately.
  • A 50% cancellation/reschedule fee of the total on-site course fee will be assessed for any on-site course canceled/rescheduled within 90 days of the start of the on-site course.

Licensed Products & Digital Courseware

License

  • Non-exclusive, non-transferable, internal-use license only.
  • Materials may be customized internally but underlying IP remains IAITAM’s.

Restrictions

  • No redistribution, resale, sublicensing, or external sharing.
  • Not for consulting services or third-party use.

Digital Courseware

  • Typically provided in PDF format.
  • Print rights limited to one copy per purchase.
  • Unauthorized copying or modification prohibited.

Intellectual Property & Content Use

  • IAITAM retains ownership of all materials, publications, and courseware.
  • ITAK articles may be posted only with proper citation and without charge.
  • Copyright notices must remain intact.

Legal Terms

Disclaimers & Liability

  • Materials provided “as-is” without warranties.
  • IAITAM not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

Confidentiality

  • Licensed materials and related information must be kept confidential.

Indemnification

  • Users agree to indemnify IAITAM against claims arising from misuse.

Termination

  • Agreement may terminate for breach or business closure; materials must be destroyed upon termination.

Governing Law

  • State of Ohio law applies.
  • Venue: Cuyahoga County, Ohio or the U.S. District Court (Northern District of Ohio).
